** Stud Manager & Rider — Starting Young Horses (AQIR Arabians, Girona, Spain)

AQIR Arabians, a Straight Egyptian Arabian breeding farm located at Mas Parnau (Rupià, Baix Empordà, Catalonia, Spain), is looking for an experienced professional to take charge of the day-to-day running of the stud and the schooling of the horses.
**Key responsibilities
**
Starting and schooling young horses: groundwork, backing and education of youngstock Working the adult horses: riding, lunging and physical conditioning Confident and experienced stallion handling Planning and overseeing horse care (health, feeding, farriery, veterinary coordination) Organising daily work and supervising stable staff Supporting the management of the stud (records, studbook paperwork, liaising with suppliers)
Requirements
Proven experience as a rider and in starting young horses Stud or equestrian-yard experience, including stallion handling Ability to organise and lead a small team Valid work permit and driving licence Reliable, self-sufficient, with sound judgement around horses Formal qualifications (equestrian/training certification) and knowledge of the Arabian breed an advantage

AQIR Arabians is a Straight Egyptian Arabian breeding farm set on the historic estate of Mas Parnau in Rupià, in the heart of the Baix Empordà region of Catalonia, Spain — beautiful, unspoilt countryside close to the Costa Brava.
We are a private, family-run stud, home to around 20 horses: six stallions, broodmares, geldings and youngstock, all bred and raised here. Our focus is the careful breeding, raising and education of Pure Bred Arabian horses, alongside relaxed, enjoyable riding with our family and guests.
We take great pride in the quality of our horses and the standard of their care, and we offer a stable, long-term position in a peaceful rural setting. On-site accommodation is available depending on the candidate.
