Equestrian Employer Details
Mustang Leadership Partners (MLP) works to protect, preserve and sustain the wild American mustang.MLP is home to several breeds of horses but primarily mustangs. There are currently 16 mustangs on the farm, a number that varies as we adopt new mustangs from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). MLP achieves its mission through mustang adoptions, placement of mustangs with other farms, a mustang training program integrating classical dressage and natural horsemanship philosophies, participation in dressage competitions, and an equestrian program for urban, disadvantaged young women. The equestrian program serves students from the Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy (CGLA), the first single-gender STEM school in the state of TN which includes grades 6-12. The school admits students of low-income families, especially those who struggle in the more traditional public school setting.
