The manager/grooming position is an important role that requires an individual who not only leads by example, but can be a mentor and supporter of team growth. The applicant must possess exceptional organizational skills and have the ability to create a positive working environment within the training barn and alongside the entire team through all aspects of the farm. Qualified individuals will have the ability to forge good working relationships with service providers and partners, i.e. Veterinarians, Farriers, Chiropractors, Sponsors, etc. Appropriate scheduling must be maintained for the health and well-being of the horses with efficiency. This role of manager may be a shared role with other Team Members, and is a dual purpose position as we are seeking a qualified individual with experienced skills as a groom and horse caretaker. This position requires working for 6 months in Virginia and 6 months in Wellington, FL.

General Horse Care: Grooming, Body Clipping, Bathing, Plaiting, Leg Wrapping, IM/IV Injections, etc. Equine First Aid Handling Horses Safely to Include Stallions Operating Basic Equipment: Tractors for Dragging Rings & Moving Manure Nutritional Management in Competition Horses, Rehab Horses & Stallions in Training Driving Truck & Trailer Supervision of Several Staff Members Managing Two locations (VA & FL) Excellent Farm & Horse Management, Organizational & Communication Skills Positive Attitude Team & Detail Oriented Willingness to travel for various horse events
