Equine Work Experience
I have owned my own horse for the last 6 years and have recently, after having to retire him have brought an ex racer to produce. I have previously worked as a level 2 apprentice were I received training up to stage 3 and took part in lessons up to stage 4 level. As an apprentice I got my first aid qualification, and complete level 2 Bhs. I then moved on as competition groom were I had the opportunity to work with fit competition horses and also got the chance to break in young horses. I also brought horses back it to work after injury/ time off. While working as a competition groom some of my jobs involved studing horses, clipping, platting. I also assisted routine vet visits, physio appointments, Farrier, and dental work .
Specialities
I have worked as a competition groom running a yard with fit competition horses. As competition groom i had the responsibility of looking after up to 8 horses at a time insuring things were ran orderly maintaining high welfare standards. The yard was always clean and tidy. I then moved on to be a freelancer. As a freelancer I am currently left on a yard with fit dressage horses up to psg level. I have groomed for many stay away shows.
Type of Ride Work
I have previously broken horses in. I have also ridden fit dressage warmbloods. I have also had the opportunity to have jumping lessons with people like Gillian Portus and Francis Whittington
