Cleaning stalls, watering, feeding/hay, handling farrier and vet visits, checking fences/pastures, ensuring daily medication

I recently came into ownership of my own horse, but do not currently ride her due to previous injury. Beforehand I sought out work to help me gain horse experience and knowledge taking care of the basic daily needs of horses. I spend free time as I can in my Illinois hometown riding family friends’ horses. I have contributed to helping harder to catch horses become easier to handle with my respectful mannerisms to gain trust. I have spent many days working with horses on my own whether it be simple care needs or riding after they’ve sat in pasture with minimal use. I’ve been on trail rides from paid guided trips, annual riding trips with my current employers, and self guided trail rides in Illinois with my sister. I am still in the beginning phase of learning, and would love more opportunities to expand past my current level and job title. Currently serving in the Army Reserves. I do have ESA animals (3 dogs, 1 cat) that I’m seeking to bring with me in a living arrangement to move!

Some experience in handling studs and being around foals.

Mainly trail riding experience with quarter horses in western gear.
