Qualifications

Experience working in a horse farm environment as a rider, volunteer, and staff member, previous experience with horses (including handling & care), works well with others and enjoys working with people and animals

Duties of Current Occupation

Stall cleaning, feeding/watering, maintaining/repairing fences, paddocks, and pastures, assisting instructors and customers when needed, landscaping and pasture upkeep, repair and maintenance of shelters, observing for signs of injury/illness

Equine Work Experience

Dedicated and hardworking stable hand with extensive hands-on experience in all aspects of daily horse care, stable maintenance, and overall facility upkeep, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and operational efficiency. Skilled in feeding, grooming, mucking stalls, administering basic first aid, and closely monitoring equine health, behavior, and dietary needs to detect and address potential issues promptly. Adept at handling horses of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments, assisting with training routines, exercising horses, and preparing them for riding or competition. Experienced in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing regular repairs, managing supplies, and adhering to strict safety protocols. Known for exceptional reliability, strong attention to detail, and a dedicated work ethic in fast-paced, physically demanding settings, with a proven ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
