Duties of Current Occupation

Daily horse care including feeding, turnout, stall cleaning, grooming, and health monitoring. Assisting with treatments, handling horses for vet/farrier, exercising and conditioning horses, and general barn maintenance.

Equine Work Experience

Lifelong experience with horses including riding, competing, and daily care. Volunteer at Virginia Tech Equine Center and Foal Watch member working with the breeding program to take care of foals and mares. Also worked at Antelope Park Game Reserve (Zimbabwe) assisting with horse care, conditioning, and vet treatments.

Specialities

Experience working with foals and young/green horses, including assisting with foal care and handling. Comfortable in fast-paced environments and assisting veterinary staff.

Type of Ride Work

Flatwork and jumping; experience riding a variety of horses including green and more forward types. Comfortable exercising and conditioning horses.

Competition Details

Experience riding and competing; not a professional competition groom but familiar with show prep and general competition environment.
