Bio
I'm a premed student with a love for horses and riding, looking for a part-time/freelance position to pursue alongside my clinical work. I'm EMT certified, so I work well in active environments, stay calm under pressure, and can manage emergencies.Duties of Current Occupation
At past barns, I volunteered as a stablehand and assistant instructor. Roles: grooming, tacking, feeding, turnout, teaching, mucking, bathing, organizing/leading, assitant teaching to 4-8 year olds, hosting birthday parties, training new volunteers.
Equine Work Experience
I have been riding since I was 9 years old, mostly at a public barn in the troop, but with some experiencing leasing. My experience is in hunter/jumpers, and I competed at the collegiate novice/limit levels in IHSA. I have also ridden western on multiple occasions. As a co-captain of my school's equestrian team and club, I helped start a beginner horsemanship workshop to teach inexperienced riders how to interact with and care for horses before helping them up on a horse.
