"I am a 24 year old girl from Slovakia, riding and being around horses since I was 7. I have owned my OTTB for nearly 10 years. I always had love for racing and showjumping."

What was the first job you found on YardandGroom?

It was work for Christian Ahlmann himself. I had to leave because of family issues and moving closer to my country. The job and people were very nice, I got nice recommendations that helped me a lot and if there is a chance I would definitely go back. I also had my horse with me in every one of the 3 stables I found on Yard and Groom. So then I moved to SW Dressage stable, it was a nice family private stable with lots of time for a private life as well...sadly I wanted something more for my riding side and some progress, and shows as a groom. In the end I found my job here in Eiterfeld as a homegroom/showgroom with riding possibilities. Great team even better horses and my horse has everything.

Where has your equestrian career taken you?

At the moment I am happy where I am. Lots of riding, grooming at shows, nice bosses, my horse has everything and careerwise I would not change.

How did YardandGroom help your career?

All 3 of my jobs I found here. It's definitely helpful and easy to use and you can find what's best for you.

What advice would you give to an equestrian jobseeker starting out?

Surely go for more trials and see what's best and suitable for you and don't rush it. Especially if you want to take your own pets with you so you make sure you are happy there.

What’s your favourite memory/photo from your career so far?

Surely it would be Saint Tropez show with Christian Ahlmann. It was my first international show of this size. It was truly something.

Do you have any career-defining moments?

For sure it was my current rider Amke Stroman winning 150 GP with my favourite mare C'assisi. Then we also had a winning groom. It was a very proud moment for me as a groom to be appreciated and for sure I was very proud of my rider and mare as always.

Who is your horsey hero?

Definitely my one, Pumping Race. He was always special. Initially he had attitude problems, kicking and biting and also attacking people. Lot of horsemanship, positive training, vets and clinics and normal riding trainers, food adjustments. It was hard. In the end over the years we stuck with each other and went through hell and back. Now we are besties handling each others emotions and attitude, he happy and retired here with me in Germany. Sometimes I still sit on no bridle no saddle and we just walk around or make some groundwork.

Who’s your all-time favourite horse?

D'aganix 2000 Z . I sit on him just a few times but lord this horse was phenomenal and also taking care of him was a pleasure even though he definitely had a persona and attitude. But he was definitely my fave.
