Hambro Sport Horses is looking for an experienced and motivated Competition Groom to join our ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-quality sport horses and supporting riders at competitions.

Key Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be proactive and hands-on with a high attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preparing horses for competition, including grooming, plaiting, tacking up Providing exceptional care and monitoring horse health and wellbeing while travelling Managing turnout and presentation to a high professional standard Assisting riders during warm-up and at competitions Organising and maintaining equipment, tack, and lorry for travel Daily care of horses including feeding, grooming, mucking out and turnout whilst at home Assisting with exercise routines and general yard duties

Skills & Experience Required: Proven experience as a competition groom, ideally at FEI shows Confident handling fit competition horses Excellent turnout skills (plaiting, clipping, presentation) Ability to stay calm and organised in high-pressure environments Flexible attitude to travel, long hours, and weekend work Strong teamwork skills and a positive, can-do approach HGV licence is an advantage but not essential
