Full time person sought to care for rehab and resting racehorses.

Looking for a reliable, conscientious person to work with racehorses that are resting and or rehabilitating. Should be confident handling and working with Thoroughbreds.

Horse care and stable management is the main priority.

May suit someone with a racing background looking to step away from the hustle and bustle of a big yard. This is a mainly a non-riding position, riding may be a possibility for a candidate with racehorse riding experience.

Each horse has an individual rehab or pre-training program including turn out, going on the walker, lunging, hill work and strength and conditioning exercise.

This position includes all yard duties, mucking out, poo picking, keeping and maintaining the yard to a high standard (mild OCD is a bonus). Grooming and care of the horses, help with vet, physio and farrier visits. Experience of handling racehorses is important.

Lovely yard with excellent facilities on private family farm in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside.

Ideally live out, but possibility of a cosy log cabin with a log burner.

5.5 days per week. Flexible start date.

Good rates of pay, contract and decent accommodation available to the right candidate.

Unfortunately I am unable to take anyone on from outside of the UK.
